ISTITUTO VENETO DI SCIENZE, LETTERE ED ARTI THE CULTURAL PROMOTION

The Istituto Veneto has two buildings in the heart of the city where many of the main Venetian cultural institutions are based: the Palazzo Loredan (academic headquarters) and the Palazzo Cavalli Franchetti (the new premises used for cultural promotions).

The Istituto Veneto purchased the Palazzo Cavalli Franchetti in 1999 with the intention of making it into one of the most active and prestigious cultural centres in the city and the entire country.

Its restoration and the installation of sophisticated equipment enable it to host conferences, exhibitions and other cultural events, taking full advantage of its easy accessibility, its noble architecture and the space and layout of its rooms.
