| Physical Characteristics | herbaceous, perennial, bushy, branched plant. It may be from 30 to 60 centimeters high. The stems are reddish, erect, fleshy and pubescent. The leaves are narrow, oval, petiolated, alternate, from 4 to 8 centimeters long; the upper surface is smooth while the under surface is covered with short hairs. The inflorescences are sessile and they are made up of a central female flower surrounded by 4-5 male flowers and they are located at the axil of the leaves. The flowers are green. The fruit is a small elliptical achene and contains one seed. The whole plant is covered with dense and quite stiff hairs. |
