Nel centenario della nascita dell'artista Zoran Music, l'Istituto Veneto di Scienze Lettere ed Arti vuole onorare uno dei testimoni più forti, sofferti del Novecento che ha trascorso a Venezia gran parte della propria vita.
La mostra rappresenta l'omaggio dell'intera nostra Città a un uomo cui tutti noi guardiamo con profondo rispetto, riconoscendo in lui il grande artista e l'Uomo che ha incarnato così profondamente e anche tragicamente la storia del suo tempo.
Fin dagli inizi l'Istituto ha rivolto un'attenzione particolare al Veneto, a Venezia, alle espressioni della cultura più profonda e alle radici più forti della vita culturale di queste terre. Ha ritenuto quindi suo compito segnalare le personalità più alte della storia, ma anche del presente, del Veneto e lo ha fatto nei modi più diversi, sia allestendo un Pantheon di sculture che celebrassero accanto agli eroi del passato i protagonisti nelle arti, nella politica, nella scienza delle terre venete; sia nominando a far parte del proprio corpo accademico le personalità più significative della vita culturale e degli studi.
Oggi, in considerazione di questa sua funzione, l'Istituto risponde all'invito rivoltogli dalla Regione del Veneto e si fa promotore della mostra dedicata a Zoran Music. |

In the centenary of the birth of artist Zoran Music, the Istituto Veneto di Scienze Lettere ed Arti wants to honour one of the most powerful and stricken witnesses of the twentieth century, who spent a large part of his life in Venice.
The exhibition is a tribute from the whole of our city to a man who all regard with profound respect, recognising in him the great artist and man who so profoundly and tragically embodied the history of his times.
The Istituto has always been particularly attentive to the Veneto and to Venice; to expressions of the deepest culture and the strongest roots of this region’s cultural life. It thus believes it has a duty to draw attention to the most important figures, both past and present, in the Veneto. It has done this in the most varied ways: by setting up a pantheon of sculptures celebrating the leading figures in the arts, politics and sciences in the Veneto region, alongside the champions of the past; and by nominating the most significant figures in cultural life and scholarship as members of its own academic body.
In consideration of this role, the Istituto now responds to the invitation made by the Regione del Veneto by promoting the exhibition on Zoran Music. |
