Workshop on Alignment-free sequence comparison

The "Alignment-free sequence comparison" workshop will consist of talks and discussions aimed at a reflection on modeling and computational issues of sequence analysis, comparison and classification in the post-genome, and related applications to domains of phylogenetics, genome evolution and polulation genomics, as well as genome regulation, meta-genomics, genetic deseases, cancer genomics etc. Our goal is not to collect answers or state of the art talks, but rather to debate and list educated questions as to the issues and tools that lay before researchers interested in sequence analysis. We expect the workshop to develop precisely as a reflection of the participants vision and taste.
