Venezia, June 12, 2014 - Palazzo Franchetti, Campo Santo Stefano
Istituto Veneto di Scienze, Lettere ed Arti
The Workshop reviews emerging issues that aim at integrating development and environmental thinking. Economists, ecologists, physicists and environmental scientists will gather to discuss economic evaluation, discounting benefits and costs of environmental regulations, discounting and multicriteria optimization in ecology, extended concepts of wealth, evaluation of environmental policies, environmental resources economics with a view to stochasticity in processes driving the economics and ecosystems, and global drivers and controls of broad issues like food security. The general aim is a proper framework for the notion of sustainable development and for the construction of a unified language for sustainability and for economic and environmental policy analysis.
